Join us on Friday, 2 June 2023 at 6 pm for the Goethe-Institut Äthiopien’s monthly movie night where German films from all genres will be shown with English subtitles. Admission and popcorn are free!
 
June’s Movie Night brings the acclaimed German drama film “Transit”. Directed by Christian Petzold in 2018, the film is based on Anna Seghers's 1944 novel and adapted to be set in the present. The film follows a refugee (Franz Rogowski) who impersonates a dead writer to flee a fascist state.
 
Transit was a critical success and was selected to compete for the Golden Bear in the main competition section at the 68th Berlin International Film Festival.
