The exhibition “Scattered Memories” continues its regional journey to Addis Ababa and will be showcased from 10–12 June 2026 in PLACE.

Organized by Goethe-Institut Sudan in partnership with Humboldt Forum Berlin, the exhibition brings together Sudanese artists from across the region through photography, film, collage, music, storytelling, theatre, and visual arts and is reflecting on themes of memory, displacement, cultural loss, and belonging.
 
The edition/ station in Addis Ababa will explore the space of dialogue and exchange between Sudanese and Ethiopian artistic communities.
The three-day program includes exhibition tours, artist talks, panel discussions, shared cultural experiences, and a music concert by Hazim El Shafie.
 
The opening day will feature a guided exhibition tour, artist conversations, a traditional coffee and tea gathering, and a panel discussion exploring fine arts and stories from Sudan.
 
Following the first stop in Cairo, Addis Ababa will be it's second stop before continuing throughout the year to travel to Nairobi, Kampala and luanda.
