After packaging materials have fulfilled their purpose, they are generally regarded as rubbish and end up in the trash bin. In this workshop, we will take a closer look at things that we usually consider as “waste”. With a bit of inspiration and some work, we will transform items that are often thrown away into beautiful “treasures”. Using packaging materials including disposable tableware, face masks, fruit wraps and other “garbage”, we will do some magic and create personalized jewellery items.
Working kits will be provided. Participants are also welcome to bring their own materials, such as disposable packaging materials, disposable tableware, one-off face masks, and individual fruit protection nets.
Duration of each workshop: 60 minutes
Maximum number of participants per session: 8
Age requirement: above 12 years
Registration required. Tickets at HK$100 available at ArtMate
Workshops mainly conducted in Cantonese, with supplementary English when necessary.
"Organized by Cicy Sze-Yin Ching, Chong Yan Xuan Kimberly, Hoi Kan Kong Thomas, Kowk Pui Yi Esther, Tam Tak Hei and Anna Grasskamp".
