-
Goethe-Institut Hongkong Library, Hong Kong
- Price Free Entry
The pigs in "Animal Farm", the Cheshire Cat in "Alice in Wonderland", Hedwig the Owl in the Harry Potter series... the literary world abounds in animal represenations. In books, animals are crucial in expressing specific themes and hidden messages are revealed through eyes of an animal. Children's literature are especially full of animal characters and children delighted in seeing the animals take on human-like charateristics.
In June, we turn the Library of Goethe-Institut Hongkong into a literary zoo where real, imaginary and unimaginable animals make their appearance. A selection of books and films are on display till 30th June. But you could of course find more animal characters hiding between the pages on our bookshelves!
The displayed books are available for borrow starting from 30th June. Check here to see the full list of books.
We look forward to seeing you in our library!
