Worldbuilding is the process of imagining and developing fictional worlds. When many people think of worldbuilding, they imagine science fiction and fantasy franchises like Lord of the Rings or Star Wars. But worldbuilding can also be a radical process of questioning our own world and imagining other possible societies, technologies and cultures. In this workshop, we will learn techniques for radical worldbuilding by building a world together, collaboratively. Participants will leave with a stronger sense of where to start and how to structure their own worldbuilding processes, whether they want to create worlds for their own game projects or for fun.
