Set against the 2023 UN Climate Change Conference in Dubai, this year's Colours of Humanity Arts Prize urges Hong Kong artists to delve into the theme "Our Changing World". They're invited to explore various aspects of global evolution: socially, culturally, technologically, and environmentally, and the way the affect people differently. The theme is broad, encouraging unique interpretations by artists and visitors.Co-hosted by Justice Centre Hong Kong and the European Union Office to Hong Kong and Macao, and supported by the Goethe-Institut Hongkong, the exhibition is curated by KY Wong and judged by a distinguished panel including Celia Ho, Curator, Para Site; Eugenia Law, Assistant Curator, Mill6 CHAT; Joseph Chen, Director of Culture, Eaton HK; Mou Tse, Nicholas Li Associate Curator, M+; and Victoria Tang-Owen, Co-founder, Thirty30 Creative and Victoria Tang Studio.

Each shortlisted work has been selected for its unique and insightful exploration of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, both at home and abroad, from the record number of 102 artworks submitted. Established and emerging Hong Kong artists, community artists, as well as youth artists are represented in the shortlist with a diverse range of media and subject matters, including international displacement, climate change, labour migration, feminism, and gender and sexual diversity.
