Goethe-Institut Hongkong is pleased to join hands with The Ukrainian Society of Hong Kong again to present the UKRAINIAN CULTURE DAY on September 13, 2025 (Sat) in the Goethe-Gallery and the Black Box Studio of the Institut. Comprising a Ukrainian bazaar and two live music performances, the event is aimed to support people affected by the war in Ukraine. Admission to the bazaar is free and tickets for the live music performances are available at Eventbrite

"The Zephyr of Ukraine" is a mini-concert bringing a light, gentle breeze of Ukrainian tunes, melodies and songs to the audience at the Goethe-Institut Hongkong. There will be two sessions of the same performance (3:00 PM & 5:00 PM), each lasts for approx. 45 minutes. The programme is inspired by the Greek god Zephyros who personified the west wind, and the soft, airy, and delicate confectionery Zefir popular in Ukraine. It brings together a sweet, fresh mix of Ukrainian folk, modern and pop songs by Olena Tyrtychna and Nazar Tabachyshyn. As the Ukrainian wind carries us through a musical journey of renewal and restoration, a new perspective and vision for life spring up from the rubble of war.
