Poets Translating Poets - Shillong
16:00 hrs: Gather around the hearth at You & I Arts Café (Mawroh) for an evening of Poetry, Translation and Khasi Traditional Music
In this forthcoming editon of the project, we bring together contemporary poets writing in Assamese, German and Khasi along with translators, in a ‘poetic encounter’. The week will culminate in public programmes including language, poetry, music, theatre and dialogue on 18th January in Shillong.

Lapdiang attempts to adapt Khasi folk narratives and dramatise them for a contemporary audience. She is also exploring poetry as a performance text.
