The second edition of the Jaffna Queer Festival (JQF22) will run from 21 - 30 October, 2022.
Opening Weekend: Friday, 21 October to Sunday, 23 October 2022
Closing Weekend: Friday, 29 October to Sunday, 30 October 2022
The 2022 theme of the Jaffna Queer Festival is "Queer Ecologies":
"This year, JQF is going feral. We are packing our bags and returning to nature! Recent months of economic collapse and precarity has invited a re-thinking of our festival concept, planning, and programming for this edition.
Rising levels of abject poverty and malnutrition risk inevitably lead to urgent questions of sustenance and survival. Can we think and live this urgency through queer nature? Queer ecology informs our festival concept for the second edition. Watch this space for related announcements. #JQF22 festival program calendar will be released soon."
