Colombo theatre forum is a space created for those who are seeking new dimensions in Sri Lankan theatre. Scholars, Directors, Script writers, Actors & Actresses, Critics, Lighting Directors, Back stage creators, Stage managers, students and spectators can join this forum in order to widen their horizons in
the field of theatre.
Colombo Theatre forum organized by Inter Act Art theatre and Goethe - Institut Sri Lanka was recommenced last July with the Participation of many young theatre lovers and foreign delegates. The forum will be held last Monday of this month at the Goethe Institut Hall from 5.00 pm onwards.

Sasha Waltz – A Portrait
Sasha Waltz is one of Europe`s best known and most exciting choreographers. Her choreographies are outstanding as she always surprises with new formations, deep subjects and stunning aesthetic style. But she does not only work with dancers; the dialogue with all other art forms is her special interest. Live music has become an important element in her work. With her production of “Dido & Aeneas” in 2005 she developed a new genre: the choreographic opera.
Her spectrum is broad: Purcell, Berlioz and Strawinsky, contemporary classical music and opera have become her favorite working fields. The portrait by Brigitte Kramer draws a line from 2005 until today, the most important years of Sasha Waltz’ international career.
