Thanapathilage Gedara (Ambassador`s House)
Thanapathilage Gedara is a modern day love story set against dramatised historical events in Sri Lanka.
In the film, four Sri Lankan researchers from three different ethnic groups investigate how the Arab Muslim traders first moved to Sri Lanka centuries ago, and brought clothiers who could make fine clothes. How they were welcomed by the Sinhala Kings, and were persecuted by colonial Portuguese. And later on, how they got married to local women, and lived peacefully.
