The documentary tells the story of Agel Ring Machar, a former child soldier who returns to South Sudan to help rebuild his country. The film accompanies him over a period of two years. As a child, Agel was forced to kill others and also lost nearly all of his relatives. Later, he managed to flee. He became a professional basketball player and returned to South Sudan as a free man. Today, the world’s most recent state has returned to the brink of destruction, and Agel has also become a soldier again.
