After a month full of creative ideas, exciting projects and great teamwork, it's time to celebrate together! Come to the big closing event of German Language Week(s) 2025 - an afternoon full of highlights, inspiration and surprises awaits you. Let's look back together, marvel, laugh - and discover new perspectives. We're really looking forward to seeing you!
German Language Week is an annual event aimed at celebrating and promoting the German language and culture. The event was successfully celebrated for the first time in 2024. This year, we have teamed up with our Australian neighbors to make the German Language Week an even larger occasion.
The activities are easy to implement and can be carried out without significant or with no costs. Additionally, the schedule is flexible, allowing schools to participate at their convenience. This event can help students decide whether to continue learning German and increase the visibility of the German program at your school.
During the German Language Week, schools and educational institutions have the opportunity to spark interest and enthusiasm for the German language through various creative and entertaining activities. During the month of May the timeframe for the German Language Week can be chosen individually.
All participating schools will receive an electronic German Language Week participation kit with the following content after registration:
Celebrate the German language with creative activities such as a pretzel stand, a Lederhosen fashion show, or an interesting guest speaker at the school assembly – the possibilities are endless. Schools, teachers, and school groups are free to decide how they wish to participate. There will also be a competition with great prizes.
