Synopsis:
Pedantic high‑school teacher Professor Immanuel Rath is appalled. Instead of being tucked up in bed at night, his students are sneaking off to the nightclub The Blue Angel. Determined to catch them in the act, Immanuel follows them into the dubious establishment, where he meets the singer Lola Lola and falls under her spell. When his nocturnal adventure is exposed and he openly declares his feelings for Lola, he is dismissed from his post. He proposes to her and joins her on tour. But while Lola rises over the years to become a celebrated artist, the once‑respected professor gradually declines into a pitiful clown.
