A Crash Course on German Culinary Culture
This event is part of a series of events under the umbrella title WANDERLUST KÜCHE and aims to introduce Filipinos to German cuisine and foster cultural exchange through the medium of food.
What comes to your mind when you hear about German cuisine? Most people would think of Pretzel, Bread, Sausage, and of course BEER - lots of it. But Germany and its culinary culture is more than just a drink you usually have for a good time. And we’re offering a free crash course for you to (re)-discover it!Beyond the Beer is a fun and informative way to learn about Germany's culinary culture. In this free crash course, participants will be given an introduction about anything food related in Germany – how to behave when eating in Germany, what the typical German dishes are and their ingredients, and trivia on all things related to German cuisine. The course will aspire to find the perfect balance of ingredients by providing as much knowledge as possible about Germany's culinary culture in the short amount of time without overwhelming the participants’ palates. It also aims to give flavorful insights and tips that will be useful for participants who are planning to visit Germany in the future.
