Welche Rolle spielt historisches, traditionelles oder indigenes Wissen über Natur und Kultur für unsere Zukunftsgestaltung und unser Leben im Allgemeinen? Inwiefern haben das digitale Zeitalter und das Internet unseren heutigen Begriff vom Zusammenspiel zwischen Natur und Kultur geprägt? Vom 24. bis 27. Januar 2019 in Singapur und vom 21. bis 24. Februar 2019 in Manila präsentieren die Teilnehmer*innen des Residency-Programms Acts of Life ihre Antworten auf diese Fragen.

An dem am 28. Oktober 2018 anlaufenden Residenzprogramm in Singapur und Manila nehmen mehrere auf den Feldern Kunst, Design, Urbanismus, Geisteswissenschaften und Digitale Wissenschaften interdisziplinär arbeitende Stipendiat*innen teil, die in Südostasien und/oder Deutschland leben und arbeiten. Gemeinsam mit Projektpartner*innen ihrer Wahl treiben sie im Rahmen der Residency ihre Forschungen voran: konzeptuell, methodologisch oder terminologisch.
Das Residency-Programm Acts Of Life: Natur & Urbanität wurde vom Goethe-Institut Singapur und dem Goethe-Institut Philippinen mit Unterstützung des Nanyang Technological University Centre for Contemporary Art (NTU CCA) sowie des Museum of Contemporary Art and Design (MCAD) in Manila in Auftrag gegeben.
