The Miracle of Leipzig - we are the people (Das Wunder von Leipzig – Wir sind das Volk)

Tickets Leipzig in autumn 1989: Thousands of GDR citizens take to the streets. They demonstrate for more freedom and more civil rights, for democracy and above all against a state that spies on, suppresses and monitors its citizens. Monday after Monday an unstoppable, courageous protest march forms under the eyes of the state security.

This fall, history will be written on the streets of Leipzig. It is the story of violent functionaries and of people who overcome their fear. It is the story of nameless people who change the world with their courage and prepare the beginning of the end of the GDR - and of the entire Eastern Bloc. It is the story of the "Miracle of Leipzig".
