“Blue My Mind” is a coming-of-age drama, written and directed by Lisa Brühlmann in the final stages of her film and directing studies at the Zurich University of the Arts. The film has pin sharp, enticingly disconcerting images which develop momentum with the plot, ultimately spilling over into the nightmarish. The film has already deservedly won several national and international awards.

15-year-old Mia moves house and in her attempt to settle down, she becomes part of one of the coolest school cliques. But suddenly her body and soul undergo a strange transformation. It all starts with a craving she develops for the live fish in her estranged mother’s aquarium but soon the symptoms become more dramatic ... The sensitive young girl begins to lose control and looks for an escape in sex, medication and alcohol. She seems to be heading for acatastrophe. The drama is realistically embedded in a Zurich setting, far from postcard romanticism but deeply entrenched in the everyday life of today’s  teenagers.
