Jazz series: Saharat Varasarin Trio
Mahidol College of Music Master's Degree Concerts offer an opportunity to experience jazz talents from Thailand at a special moment in their careers: in a concert that concludes their music studies and in which they present their own style.
Guitarist Saharat Varasarin is one of Thailand's most interesting young jazz musicians, who combines elements of jazz, folk, pop and rock in his music and is influenced by guitarists such as Bill Frisell, Pat Metheny and Julian Lage.
The jazz concert is his final concert for his master degree in Jazz Guitar. With his trio of Patcharaphol Wongkhamchaw (bass) and Thanapong Anantakul (drums), Saharat Varasarin will play three pieces by American guitarist Julian Lage from his album "View with a room" (Blue Note, 2022) and three original compositions.
