Sudawan Sindhuprama earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Thammasat University (first-class honour) and a master’s degree in German from Chulalongkorn University. She also received Zertifikat DaF from Gesamthochschule Kassel, Germany. As a lecturer, Sudawan taught German, German translation, German literature and culture at Chiangmai University and Thammasat University. Throughout her teaching career, she has written textbooks and has translated many works by German-language authors such as Gottfried Keller, Hermann Hesse, and Peter Wohlleben. Recently, her latest translation of Jörn Schafaff’s book about the artist Rirkrit Tiravanija was published by Silkworm International.
Currently, Sudawan is a freelance translator and teaches German language and German translation.
