The Goethe-Institut Johannesburg annually provides German teachers from Southern Africa with the opportunity to apply for an in-person scholarship for the German summer (June - August).
German teachers (DaF/DaM) residing and working in one of the following countries are eligible to apply: Angola, Botswana, La Reunion, Lesotho, Madagascar, Mauritius, Mozambique, Zambia, South Africa, Swaziland, and Zimbabwe.
The next call for applications will be in October 2024.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum B2 proficiency level
- Actively teach German (as a foreign language) at a school or private institution
- Valid passport
- Mandatory participation in the blended learning phases
- Must have a laptop and access to WiFi
