World famous German accordionist Eva Zöllner visits South Africa for the 1st time and performs with Cara Stacey & Keenan Ahrends at the Goethe-Institut
German accordionist Eva Zöllner is one of the world´s leading contemporary music specialists for her instrument. In December 2024 she visits South Africa for the first time, being invited as artist in residence of the annual Sterkfontein Composers Meeting. Her concert at Goethe-Institut Johannesburg will the opening event of her visit. She will present brand new pieces written for her as well as masterpieces of the contemporary accordion repertoire. In the second half of the concert she will be joined for an improvisation set by Cara Stacey (southern African musical bows) and Keenan Ahrend (guitar) to discover new connections and sounds in between this unusual trio.
