Professional development
 for Teachers of German

The Goethe-Institut South Africa is committed to the professional development of German teachers. We offer a wide range of opportunities for professional development and training, such as regional studies, methodology and didactics, and language skills enhancement. In order to facilitate access to this offer for German teachers, the German Education Cooperation of the Goethe-Institut annually offers a limited number of places for scholarship applications for DaF teachers.

    We offer courses in South African provinces on a wide range of topics. Every two years, we organise a conference for German teachers.

GETVICO24 is a virtual conference for Goethe-Institut German teachers that takes you around the world in 24 hours every two years. The next GETVICO24 will take place in 2026.
