The Afghanistan Cultural Fund
The Afghanistan Culture Fund was conceived and implemented by the Goethe-Institut as a temporary funding program. In 2024, the Fund supported the realization of selected artistic projects in the fields of music and storytelling.
The funding program was designed for a period of one year. Following the completion of this project phase, the Afghanistan Culture Fund will not be continued due to financial reasons. In this context, the Fund’s website will also be closed.
The Goethe-Institut would like to thank all participating artists for their collaboration, commitment, and artistic contributions. The projects developed within the framework of the Fund make an important contribution to enhancing the visibility of contemporary cultural expressions from Afghanistan.
Maintaining exchange with cultural practitioners from Afghanistan and engaging with their artistic perspectives remains an important concern of the Goethe-Institut.
