Description
To mark the 150th birthday of the exceptional German painter Paula Modersohn-Becker, the Goethe Magazine #Deutschland No Filter has published an engaging article. This authentic text serves as the basis for various activities that can be carried out to explore the painter’s life and artistic work.
To get started, there is the activity “Image Meets Text.”
To practice text comprehension and reading comprehension, the activities “Text Encounter” and “Biography as a Puzzle” are available.
For writing prompts, there is the exercise “Inner Voice – A Diary Entry,” and to expand speaking skills, various role-playing cards are provided for engaging role-playing games.
For vocabulary training, the exercises “Vocabulary Clustering,” “Vocabulary & Emotion: ‘What Does the Word Trigger?’,” “Vocabulary Detectives in the Text,” “Vocabulary Timeline,” and “Doesn’t Fit!” can be used.
