Physical changes: sleeping behaviour in youth
Tired and passive teenagers in class are not uncommon, especially in the morning. An altered sleep-wake rhythm is responsible for the sleepiness of adolescent students.

Description
Studies show that more than a third of all adolescent students from different countries are tired in the morning at the beginning of class. This tiredness affects boys more often than girls, and it increases during the adolescent phase. The fatigue stems primarily from the fact that adolescents do not get enough nighttime sleep because they go to bed late in the evening. However, they actually need much more sleep due to the enormous physical changes during puberty.
