Description

October 3rd is German Unity Day. The occasion is German reunification: the end of the division of Germany into two states. That was exactly 30 years ago in 2020. In Berlin, you can no longer see much of the Wall that ran across the city for 28 years. But there are places where the memory comes alive.

The October article of Presse und Sprache reports on a special place in Berlin where visitors can experience what everyday life felt like in the shadow of the Berlin Wall.

The easy reading text with word explanations (A2 CEFR and above) and the audio with exercises and suggested solutions provide information on this place and what visitors can expect to find there. As always, the material can be used in class.

We wish you an exciting read, a nice holiday and much success in class!
