This presentation gives an overview of the situation of early childhood education and the training of daycare professionals in Estonia, Croatia, Russia and Ukraine. The presentation looks at the seepro study (2010) and re-evaluates it. It involved mapping key data on staff, developing a conceptual framework for cross-country analysis, contacting existing collaborative partners, developing research questions for addressing country-specific early childhood education staff profiles, creating early childhood education staff profiles, and creating key contextual data for each country.
