Jan and Peter share an apartment, a VW bus and ideas about how to fight social injustice in the world. They spy on luxury villas and break in when their owners are not at home. They don't take the loot, but wreak havoc - for example, they'd rather put an expensive stereo in the fridge than destroy it. Peter's girlfriend Jule moves in with Jan and Peter and joins in their actions. During a short trip abroad by Peter, Jule and Jan become closer. Then comes the moment when Jan and Peter's actions take a turn they never intended...
The film tells of the desire for political and social change and thus portrays a young German generation that is not content with the social differences between rich and poor and the decay of ideals. At the same time, the film is about the lost faith in solutions through political parties.
