Description

For some it is the end of the world, for others the start of a new life: the Oder. The most diverse people meet here in search of happiness, security and their place in life.

A handful of people seek their happiness in the German-Polish border region. There is, for example, the Polish cab driver who needs money for his daughter's communion dress, and the desperate Ukrainian who wants to wade through the Oder with his family to make a new start in the West. Or the ruined store tenant who tries to sell mattresses, and the pretty Sonja who works as an interpreter and one day feels sympathy for a Russian refugee - to the annoyance of her boyfriend. (text: kino.de)
