Yacoub Abu Ghosh

Yacoub Abu Ghosh is a well-known musical composer, arranger, producer, and bass player, considered one of the pioneers of the independent music scene in Jordan and the Arab region. He has five albums under his belt so far and has participated in numerous concerts, projects, and performances all over the region and Europe.
Yacoub’s work is influenced by a wide range of musical genres. While you will always find Middle Eastern maqam music in the foundation of his compositions, you will also find hints of jazz, funk, rock, electronic, and Latin music in his melodies, arrangements, and beats.
Yacoub’s albums with his band Zaman Al Zaatar are Like All People (2004), Zad (2007) and Al Khubz (2012). Under his own name he has released As Blue as the Rivers of Amman (2011) and Ayqithini (2015). He is working on his next album expected in 2022. 
Yacoub currently lives in Amman, Jordan with his wife and 2 children.
