The Science Film Festival enters its ninth edition in 2018. Organized by Goethe-Institut Indonesia, the Festival returns with the support of its long-standing partners Siemens, the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Jakarta, PASCH, Sahid Hotels & Resorts, Satya Wacana Salatiga Christian University, and Paramadina University.
As many as 15 films from 7 countries have been selected to be screened from 23 October to 13 November 2018 in 41 Indonesian cities:
Aceh, Ambon, Bandung, Bogor, Cikarang, Ciloto, Denpasar, Jakarta, Jambi, Jatinangor, Jayapura, Karanganayar, Klaten, Kupang, Lhokseumawe, Magelang, Makassar, Malaka, Malang, Manado, West Manggarai, Maumere, Medan, Meulaboh, Palembang, Pekalongan, Raja Ampat, Salatiga, Samarinda, Sidoarjo, Soe, Sorong, Surabaya, Tangerang, Central Tapanuli, Toba Samosir, Tobelo, Tomohon, Waibakul, Waingapu and Wonosobo, Yogyakarta.
The Science Film Festival 2018 official opening ceremony will be taking place at XXI Epicentrum, Kuningan, in Jakarta.
