10th Edition
The Science Film Festival in Indonesia celebrated its 10th edition in 2019. Organized by Goethe-Institut Indonesia, the festival returned with the support of its long-standing partners the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, Schulen: Partner der Zukunft (PASCH), Sahid Hotels & Resorts, and Paramadina University.
13 films from 7 countries were selected to be screened during the festival period from October 23 to November 24 in 51 cities in Indonesia. Around 350 students attended the official opening ceremony held in the GoetheHaus on October 22.

The festival was strongly supported by the following media and venue partners: Deutsche Welle, TVRI, Koran Tempo, Tempo.co, Jawa Pos Multimedia, Provoke! Magazine, IDN Times, Good News from Indonesia, AF Medan, PASCH, Goethe-Zentrum (Wisma Jerman) and the Science and Technology Interactive Center in several cities - Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, and Pontianak. Numerous local schools, universities and cultural centers also hosted festival screenings. In total, the Science Film Festival in Indonesia attracted a total of 122,066 visitors in 2019.
