10th Edition
The Science Film Festival enters its 10th edition in 2019. Organized by Goethe-Institut Indonesien, the Festival returns with the support of its long-standing partners the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, PASCH-Proyek: “Sekolah Mitra Menuju Masa Depan”, Sahid Hotels & Resorts, and Paramadina University. As many as 13 films from 7 countries have been selected to be screened during the festival period from 23 October to 24 November 2019 in 51 cities in Indonesia.

The Festival is also supported by media and venue partner: Deutsche Welle, Goethe-Zentrum (Wisma Jerman), Science and Technology Interactive Center in several cities: Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Yogyakarta, and Pontianak, AF Medan, School’s partner from PASCH, and our local partner such as Schools, Universities, cultural centers and others. Together, they help create hands-on experience for children in their interaction with science. The Science Film Festival attracted a total of 86,763 visitors in 2018.

Show all Pre-Jury Members of Indonesia

Over 30 pre-jury members with expertise in science education and science communication in the participating country and in-depth knowledge of the local target audience are closely involved in the selection process. All films are translated and synchronized or subtitled into local languages where necessary to offer access without language barriers.
