Target group: Primary school, especially Years 1–3 (A0 or very little prior knowledge)
Duration: 35 minutes
With the little alien Wuschel and his friends, children are introduced to their first German words and sentences in a playful, age‑appropriate way. Out of ten short lessons—each one featuring a fun adventure that Wuschel experiences on Earth—you can choose the mini‑lessons that best fit your class. Possible topics include naming colours and furniture, counting from 1 to 10, talking about favourite foods or animals, learning the days of the week, or giving simple personal information.
Each child receives a beautifully illustrated 50‑page picture and activity book (Wuschel auf der Erde, illustrated by Axel Scheffler). They use it during the workshop and can keep working with it afterwards in class. With the vocabulary list and answer key, the book is easy to integrate into follow‑up lessons or extra practice.
