Holiday Closure Notice

The Goethe-Institut Australia will be closed from 22 December 2025 through 4 January 2026. Regular operations will resume on 5 January 2026 at our Melbourne and Sydney locations.

We wish you a restful and joyful holiday season.

Our language course office will be available via email at learngerman-australia@goethe.de from 8 January 2026, and by phone again from 12 January.

Please note: Language course and exam bookings remain available online during the closure period.

Public transport
Goethe-Institut Sydney can be easily reached by public transport. Greater Sydney Transport Information can be found at the 131500 Transport Infoline

By train: 
You can take a CityRail train to Edgecliff station, and then it is a short walk up Ocean Street to us.
 
By bus: 
Bus 200 stops right outside our Institute.

By car:
Parking is available on the streets around our Institute.
