As teachers, we reflect after every lesson: What worked well? What could be improved? This reflection often inspires us to try new approaches or adapt learning activities.

In Term 2, 2026 German teachers from Victoria took this reflection a step further by participating in another round of the Classroom Action Research Project (CARP), guided and supported by the Goethe-Institut. They explored the question: “What happens in my classroom when I do X?”

Their research questions were:
  • How does the introduction of a standardized correction key for written assignments affect the consistency of feedback and the independence of students, without compromising the reliability of assessment?
  • What happens to student engagement when I increase autonomy?
If this sounds interesting to you, join us as we discuss these two projects, the motivation behind them, their findings, and how Classroom Action Research can enrich your own teaching practice.

CARP Presentation on 23 June 2026, 6:00 - 7:00pm

This project is supported by the Victorian Government.
