On Goethe on Demand, the streaming platform of the Goethe-Institut, we present a variety of online film programs, film festivals and film series that can be streamed from home. More information about the alternating film series can be found here. The films are presented in original language with subtitles. They are accessible online and free of charge after registration.

New annual film series
 Lots Of Love

From grand gestures to small moments - hardly any movie can do without the theme of love. Yet love is far more than just a romantic feeling. Love means devotion, trust and responsibility. Wars, crises and political upheavals currently dominate reality and the media. Society is more polarized than ever, hatred and agitation are part of everyday media life.

The film series Lots Of Love aims to counter the bad news with a ray of hope, at least cinematically, and shows the most beautiful feeling in the world in very different facets - romantic love stories, unconventional forms of relationships, stories of care, friendship and loyalty. Over a period of twelve months, the series lets us share love stories and shows how people find each other and stand up for each other across dividing lines.

Goethe on Demand: A cinematic journey through Germany
 City, Country, River

The film series City, Country, River takes us through the diversity of German cities, villages and landscapes with a selection of twelve feature and documentary films. The films focus on regions and places away from the well-known big cities, inviting viewers to take a multi-layered look at the realities of life in Germany.
