The network for strengthening German programs, which has been successfully running since 2020, is expanding.

SPARK addresses new target audiencesand enables early access to learning German. The program provides comprehensive professional development for future German teachers and creates space for exchange with decision-makers. Through its programming, the network strengthens German programs, promotes the quality of German teaching, and fosterstransatlantic dialogue in classrooms and the community.
SPARK stands for Structured Program for the Acquistion of German-Resources and Know-how. It was conceived in 2020 as a joint project of the American Association of Teachers of German (AATG) and the Goethe-Institut.

The SPARK network now supports German teachers and learners at partner schools and universities in all 50 states in the US as well as in Canada.
