The European Film Festival 2023 is running from October 27 to November 19, 2023.
This year's festival brings an impressive lineup of 22 European award-winning productions. In addition, there will be screenings of Ethiopian short films, workshops and masterclasses conducted by film professionals, offering valuable insights and knowledge to aspiring filmmakers.
This year’s festival is made possible through the funding and organization by the European Union in Ethiopia and the EU Delegation to the African Union. Additionally, 20 EU Member States' embassies and cultural institutes represented in Ethiopia have come together to support and contribute to the festival.
The festival is free of charge and will be held at various venues, including, Goethe-Institut Äthiopien, the Ethiopian National Theatre, Alliance Ethio-française, Istituto Italiano di Cultura, and Lycée franco-éthiopien Guébré-Mariam.
The Goethe-Institut Äthiopien is pleased to host the screenings of seven remarkable European films from Germany, Luxembourg, Bulgaria, Ireland, Slovenia, Netherlands, and Belgium.
Join us for the first screening at the Goethe-Institut of the German film "Ivie wie Ivie" on November 12, 2023, at 3:30 PM.
