This comedy deals with the life of East Berlin youths in the face of the Berlin Wall in the German Democratic Republic (GDR) of the 1970s. While Micha and his friend Mario are fooling around, their friend Wuschel is in search of rock music, which was then forbidden in the GDR. Micha falls in love with a school beauty Miriam and Wuschel risks a lot for a Rolling Stones record while Micha's mother secretly plans her escape.
