Thematic Book Display | November German Fairy Tales

The well-known "Grimm's Fairy Tales" is a fairy tale published by the German Brothers Grimm in 1812. The Grimm brothers Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm were well known about the German folk tales. The first book they published contains more than 200 fairy tales. Famous stories include "Cinderella", "The Frog Prince", "Little Red Riding Hood", "Rapunzel", "Sleeping Beauty", "Snow White", etc. Apart from creating famous fairy tales, the Brothers Grimm also wrote the German dictionary (Deutscher Wörterbuch).

In addition to the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm, Hermann Hesse's fairy tales are also worth reading. Different from Grimm's classical fairy tales, Hesse has a modern look and is closer to life.

Book Story about searching for homeland

I believe that the topic of identity is closely related to our daily lives. The author of this book, Nora Krug, is also searching for her identity. She was born a few decades after the fall of the Nazi regime, but the Second World War casts a huge shadow over her.
