Our Commitment to German

The Goethe-Institut works with schools, universities and education authorities to promote German as a foreign language, multilingualism and the culture of German-speaking countries. We support German language learning in Hong Kong, provide expertise and promote professional exchange through events and initiatives.

Educational Projects

  • PASCH Initiative

    The “Schools: Partners for the Future” (PASCH) initiative creates a global network of more than 2,000 PASCH schools with particular ties to Germany.

  • Goethe-Fest

    Join us at the open day of the Goethe-Institut Hongkong! We have prepared a variety of exciting programmes for you. All friends of the German language and culture are cordially invited!

  • Goethe Excellence Scholarship

    Become a winner and explore one of 12 vibrant German cities. By receiving the scholarship, you can participate in a 2 to 3-week German language programme in Germany, including flight and accomodation.

In collaboration with the German Consulate General, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the Goethe-Institut provides information about your study opportunities in Germany, no matter what your goals are.

    Are you planning on moving to Germany? What are the necessary steps? What’s the best way to prepare yourself? In cooperation with the AMIF (Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund of the European Union), the Goethe-Institut offers various events, up-to-date information and individual answers related to the subject of migration to Germany.
