Offered across three 12-week terms a year, our courses help students prepare for studying in Germany, excel in the HKDSE German, and get ready for internationally recognised Goethe-Zertifikat exams.

Course Levels A1–C2

Our German courses are based on the levels defined in the Common European Framework of Reference for Language (CEFR).
Online Placement Test

If you already have some German knowledge, we offer a free placement test. The test will determine which level best suits your needs.

Kids Courses (Age 5-7)

German is fun! We teach your kid the first steps in German. Our Miniprofis (KIDS 1-2) and Bruno Bear (KIDS 3-8) will be joining us on this journey.

Kids 1 and 2 "MINIPROFIS“ Nele, Jonas, and Pi accompany the children on their adventures. The children engage with the German language through seeing, hearing, understanding, and with many games, songs, rhymes, and creative activities.

Kids 3 and higher “German with Bear Bruno” is aimed at children between the ages of 5 and 7 who have already completed our MINIPROFIS Courses.

Together with Bruno the kids learn with a textbook more essential language structures and will be introduced to new vocabulary in a communicative and child-friendly way. In this course the children will also learn how to write in German.

Junior

Junior Courses (Age 8-11)

German is not only an important European language but also a gateway to culture and knowledge. Give your child the chance to learn in an engaging and interactive way, building confidence and interest step by step, and help them become true German experts!

Our course focuses on developing children’s listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. With a small class size, your child will get the individual attention they need to advance quickly in the German language.

Jugendkurs

Teens Courses (Age 12-15)

Teenagers learn differently than children and adults. At Goethe-Institut Hongkong, we cater to the specific needs of teenagers.

We provide well-structured lessons with clear goals, topics that teenagers find interesting and fascinating insights into life in Germany. Our experienced teachers will guide the students’ way in their language learning process.

At the end of a language level, students can demonstrate their skills in the Goethe-Zertifikat for young learners, the stipulated examination for HKDSE German.

DaZ

DaZ German as a Second Language (Age 6-8)

This course is intended for children who already speak German fluently. Is your child excellent in speaking and listening, but has difficulties with reading and writing German? Our DaZ Course can help!
