Mein Ort in Deutschland

How can a place on a map become an anchor point in our lives?
 
From 17th February to 30th April, friends of Germany from all over the world can participate in the Goethe-Institut online competition “Mein Ort in Deutschland” at www.goethe.de/meinort. Goethe-Institut Hongkong presents the latest online project on 18th February in the Goethe-Gallery. Our guest, Shun Man Lau - the TV journalist, sport reporter and football fan – will introduce his favorite place in Germany.  Visitors may take part in our lucky draw and win a language course at Goethe-Institut Hongkong and different souvenirs by completing a quiz about Germany.
 
Whether as a tourist, student or on a business trip – if you have once been to Germany, you definitely have found a place which, because of its atmosphere, architecture or the encounters with you, has become a special place – “your” place in Germany. Maybe you have fallen for a place that you have not yet been to - a place that stands for ideas and hopes, or a place where your future holds.
 
We cordially invite all participants of our language courses, Germany fans and interested parties (at least 18 years old) to take part in this event and our online competition “Mein Ort in Deutschland”. Tell us which place in Germany is special for you and what has connected you with the place: simply register at goethe.de/meinort, mark the place and describe, in German or in another language, what makes this place special for you. Those who submit a text on or before 30th April 2016 might win an attractive prize. The first prize is a trip to Germany, of course!
