How can libraries attract and obtain users who will form the world of tomorrow? To ask this question in a different way: What could be done in order to let children discover the media world with all their senses? How could we make our young users familiar with all kind of possibilities in the library? And, how could we bring our young users to test their own creative and communicative capabilities? Under the instruction of Professor Susanne Krüger, students of Stuttgart Media University (HdM) in Germany set up these questions for their research. As a result, they brought out a booklet with Tips and instructions for reading promotion under the motto: simple, practical, good! The Goethe-Institut Hongkong is delighted to be able to greet Professor Krüger personally at the time when the translation of this booklet in Chinese is introduced to the public. Prof. Krüger will hold a lecture on the fundaments of reading promotion in Germany and introduce the booklet with all the tips inside, set up for reading promotion activities.
