Two experts on children and youth literature, Prof. Birgit Dankert, Germany, Head of Committee 2007, German children’s book award, Professor of Library and Information Sciences and Ms Pearl Poon, wellknown Hong Kong children’s books author, are guest-speakers at this seminar. They will talk about book awards in their country and discuss the different influences on the book markets, reading promotion and the reading habits. This event is organized by Goethe-Institut Hongkong and Leisure and Cultural Services Department, Hong Kong Public Libraries.
