This award with its tradition of over 60 years shows the best-crafted German books each year. They are quality books demonstrating the creativity in design and high standard of technical workmanship and printing technology.
Nearly 1000 books compete for the title every year and evaluated by professional jury (Book designer, Publisher, librarians) to conclude the 25 awarded books. The five categories (General Literature; Academic Works and Educational Textbooks; Guides and Non-Fiction; Art and Photography, Exhibition Catalogues; Children's and Young People's Books) represent the highest design principles and the latest trends in the publishing industry in Germany.
The Goethe-Institut Hongkong is pleased to present most of the awarded books from 2014 and 2015.
