On the occasion of the performance From Starting to Cut the Wood at the Hong Knog Arts Festival, Goethe-Institut Hongkong and the Hong Kong Arts Festival present an artist talk From Crafting to Dancing on March 11, 2019 (Monday) at the Goethe-Institut to give insights into the artistic process of the Indonesian-German collaborative team.
The talk will be conducted in two parts:
Part 1:
Katia’s journey of working & creating works in a foreign country (Indonesia)
Part 2:
Mask carver Ki Pono Wiguno will do a presentation of mask carving whereas Katia and Ari Ersandi (performer) would share on how they pick up from the mask carving (the movement, the sound) and devise the piece together.
