Herbert is running out of time. After collapsing unexpectedly, the former East German boxing champ is diagnosed with a terminal neurological disease, causing his muscles to deteriorate until they ultimately seize up. His debilitating condition leaves him jobless and an easy target for the underground enemies of his dark past. Realising that time is limited and full of regrets, Herbert resolves to track down and make amends with Sandra, the daughter he abandoned as a young child. But this reunion will prove to be anything but positive, as Sandra is full of resentment and Herbert's violent temper threatens his only wish.
