In the following workshops, Raphael Hillebrand would share the design concept of PATHFINDER, participants will experience how to use this choreographic tool:
Born in Hong Kong, rooted in Germany and West Africa, raised in Berlin and educated by Hip Hop: Choreographer Raphael Hillebrand uses his background to realize his visions of Hip Hop dance theatre. He began his career as a dancer, initially taking part in numerous B-Boy Battles and winning national and international battles, while simultaneously working on stage productions - first as a performer, then increasingly in collective creations and today as a choreographer, director, curator. By working on an international level, he takes up his instinct for socio-political themes and cultural identities. Raphael is one of the most important choreographic representatives of the Goethe-Institut. He regularly leads cultural and cooperation programmes worldwide and develops various creations with local dancers*. He has toured worldwide with the dance-theatre video performance "Gemeinsam Einsam". As a member of the Battle Squad and Animatronik groups, he is an integral part of today's hip hop community.
