David Erler is in demand throughout Europe as a vocal soloist (Altus) and baroque specialist, working with renowned conductors such as Manfred Cordes, Philippe Herreweghe and Jos van Immerseel. He can be heard on over 80 CDs and at renowned festivals throughout Europe.
David Erler is also a renowned musicologist and publishes the works of rarely performed composers. For the opening of our series "Hauskonzert" he has chosen a cantata by the baroque composer Johann Kuhnau.
David Erler is accompanied by Birgit Schnurpfeil und Yumiko Tsubaki (violins), Ulrike Becker (cello), Tilman Schmidt (double bass) and Gregor Meyer, the director of the Gewandhaus Choir Leipzig (conductor/ organ), in St. Peter's Church in Leipzig.
